Is your question simply "When will white people stop making films like Avatar?".

Welp, first, it wasn't only made by "white people", and it didn't only
star "white people", but I do understand that it suits the tone the
author is aiming for.  I'll just ignore that.

As far as making movies that may be semi-allegories to historical
events, then I also hope that "people" certainly never stop making
movies about history.  I also hope that "people" don't bury the
unpleasant history and only make movies about the pleasant bits of
history.

I guess...  What is the author's core point here?
