I was in St Louis in the fall (2009) and did the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour. I don't actually remember them mentioning InBev once during the tour. They might have, but I don't remember it. They even has Stella Artois and other InBev beers posted as "Anheuser-Busch" brands.
Still, it is smart to keep an American image of Anheuser-Busch in the US. I suspect they will sell ALOT more beer (domestically) that way. Also - it does still have a very long history in America. Budweiser's still made in St Louis. I think you could easily consider it an American beer. If a US beermaker bought a Belgian Brewer for example, I would still consider it a Belgian Beer. The Anheuser-Busch tour is fun and worth going to BTW. Man they have some HUGE facilities. -Cameron On Mon, Jan 4, 2010 at 12:17 PM, Scott Stewart <sstwebwo...@bellsouth.net> wrote: > I saw a delivery truck the other day with "Budweiser, The American Beer" on > it.. > > As anyone who follows the beer industry closely knows, Anheuser -Busch, the > makers of Budweiser merged with InBev a very large conglomerate > > Based in Belgium.
