We just had some pretty wicked winds through yesterday, especially in the Columbia Gorge. Winds from the east get channeled through the long high-walled gorge and build up a good head of steam before the land flattens out on the edge of Portland.
So the local news had their camera dude and "storm chaser" gal out there as weather geeks measured the wind gusts. Official reports put the high wind gust at 101 mph yesterday.
