You don't get the same quality from a video card on a computer...plus I
never had a laptop that was good enough to play streaming video ;-)

Most newer televisions have an S-Video, VGA, DVI, or all of the above
as inputs.  It can be well worth it to spend a few minutes connecting
your laptop to it.  We've watched plenty of movies and most of the
seasons of Weeds this way, on our Television, through Netflix on a
laptop.
