You might not be, but I thought all memory allocation was from the OS not
the Application.

I'm about 99% sure that's not right. If it's a 32 bit proggy it uses max
4gb. Photoshop cs4 32 bit uses up to 4gb ram regardless of if it's on a
64bit os or not. PSCS4 64bit will use above 4gb. Just running a 64 bit os
does not automatically mean that all software running on it behaves in 64
bit fashion. Maybe this is different in win 7 but I'm fairly certain it
isn't.

P.S. I truly hope I'm wrong about this. :D
