It was his tripping out about the fact that CNN didn't say anything about them being Muslim (which has little to do with the situation) and his avowed hatred of Islam, which makes him a bigot. The fact that this was done by Chechen rebels, while not an established fact, is pretty much assumed and accepted.
My answer was a response to your question. The only reason it is a big deal is his bigotry and hatred of Islam as there is no other reason for him to do so. It sounds like an answer that went from the lips of Rush Limbaugh or Glen Beck, into his ears and then translated to letters in his email. Then his only response was to call me a moron.
