Sounds like you need bifocals...my current pair is a pair of the lineless
bifocals. They took a while to get used to, but I can see a lot better with
them. Also...get the tinting that changes with levels of light (I am brain
farting the name), but that is awesome.

yeah, been through this twice, first time around grade 6, and as
others have said, it was astonishing that wow, I can see that person's
face. Then a couple of years ago I kept complaining that it was too
dark to see menus and stuff, and finally realized that I was getting
far-sighted. It would be nice if this corrected the original problem,
but it did not ;P

I now have a set of sunglasses, distance only, and another pair for
distance and computer distance. If I forget and wear the sunglasses to
work, I have to move the monitor to see it.

I look in them and how uncomfortable they tend to be (I have really tiny
ears that were never designed for holding frames up) I dream of a day wear I
might not have to wear them but have had constant problems with contacts
(have never been able to find ones I can wear regularly) and the eye
correction surgeries are fairly high risk for me. Been awhile since I had an
evaluation done and they are always improving so I may try again....but now
I'm finding that my reading vision is starting to get worse for the first
time in my life so that may be an issue. Sigh.
