No doubt there. My TKD instructor was talking about how martial arts get a bad rap the other night in class. Half the people in the class had been asked if they liked to fight when someone found out they were in it. I find that funny given that one of the things we're taught (by this instructor anyway) is that it's better to hand over your wallet than get into a fight if you can avoid it.
Truth is I'm a whole a lot better off for having studied martial arts. Way back when I first got into it about 10 years ago I had neither self confidence nor discipline. I was one of those people that you always see walking around with their eyes firmly planted on the ground. I think it's safe to say I'd be a much lesser man had I not gotten involved in martial arts and developed those traits. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology-Michael-Dinowitz/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:317505 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
