I realize they're not switching their servers. I was simply giving evidence that *nix is more secure than Windows. Frankly I've always viewed desktop security as secondary to server security. People aren't going to waste their time breaking into a workstation except as a prank or a step towards the server. All a desktop really needs to defend against is viruses and other malware. Servers, on the other hand, make a lucrative target for anyone with the time and skill to break into them. Even with Google it was their servers that were comprimised. It could be they were comprimised via passwords gathered with spyware on workstations I suppose, but that in itself wasn't damaging. It was the data on the servers that got them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology-Michael-Dinowitz/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:320018 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
