There was a setting in advanced wireless options which listed multicast rates, default was 2meg not sure if that was the total problem but along with other things I set this to 12 which reduces the range but still good from where it is in the basement to my office on other end of the house. Now I'm getting 14.5 meg download. YAHOO!
