Space Opera means different things to different people. ;-) In all honesty, I like them all to various degrees at varying times. "Loving everything" isn't very conductive to pulling folk out of the woodwork tho. ;] > And enterprise? Archer was a self-righteous meddler. I have also never > seen such emotional Vulcans. Continuity and inter-dimensional travel go hand in hand, I'll give you that-- just look at Doctor Who. I bet it all makes sense, from the right, um, perspective. Archer was obviously the reason the Prime Directive was invented. And maybe /those/ vulcans were from the whacked-out timeline the latest (earliest?) movie created. =)p I wasn't a big fan of the intro music, myself. Other than that, I was happy to have *some* form of new (old?) trek'n going on. Far better than none. There are several pretty fun non-space shows on currently, but still. I've been enjoying the new Doctor Who, which is about as close to space as I've been watching lately. I don't know of any space-related shows running currently, but I'm notoriously out of the loop. For instance: >> The one with Scott Bakula? I liked it a lot myself.. I thought it had >> some really good characters and good stories.. I liked the "wild west" >> feeling of it. Rick, you reminded me of FireFly here. Which I thought it was an excellent show, but didn't catch it 'till it was over. Good balance of stuff, that one. You guys are freaking nuts tho, dissing DS9. Obviously your pallet isn't very sophisticated. And Captain What'sHerName was strong (I know 'er name, but I'm drawing a blank-- no blank on 7 o' 9 tho, oddly -- mostly because her body was an unnatural shape, if you ask me. Now Dr. Crusher? she was a stone cold fox). :DeN -- That so few now dare to be eccentric, marks the chief danger of the time.
