I want to know how the bunnies discovered the soy in the sheathing? How could
they smell it with all the other strong, noxious odors that permeate an engine
bay?

It's kind of like when you find a line of ants coming through a third floor
window on their way to a dresser drawer in which there is a closed box that has
some kind of food or candy in it. How the heck do they find that stuff? They
must have scouts who track down the stuff, look for the best way back home, and
lay down a scent trail along the way . . .

I once had mice going after my pricey Bosch silicone covered sparkplug cables.
When I discovered it they had eaten almost the whole underside half from a
couple of the cables. I'm surprised the car still ran well. I replaced the set
and the next day they looked the same as they had the day before. About 12
mouse traps loaded with peanut butter under the engine and one hour of time
took care of that.
