Sounds like you had one racist asshat at the company in a position of power
and when the company found out about his illegal actions, they took
appropriate action and fired his sorry ass.

Sadly, there have been reports that separate bathrooms has resurfaced
in pockets of the US since Obama has been elected President. In one
case, the employer "allows" the "Black" employees to use the restroom
only in the basement of the building.  Another manager, without
knowledge or consent of the owners, asked for all "African Americans"
and white females who voted for Obama to resign...the owners fired
him, and are supporting further actions against this man.

When I left my job in the late 90's, cases like these were rare and on
the decline. I wonder what the stats are now?
