Yeah, and are they even really "saying" anything? Is there a public record of the money spent?
Can I plead the 5th on my tax return? Sadly, the conservatives in this country seem to kowtow to the all mighty dollar. "BP is swell!", "Regulation is Bad for Business!", "Being environmentally responsible will force our factories to shut down or move overseas!", "Taxes are Always Bad!", etc.. If the Republicans get into power again, so soon after their last debacle (before the Democrats have had a chance to finish cleaning up the mess left from Bush), I predict the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer, the economy will once again tank, and they'll blame the Democrats. Too bad that, like Jerry B says, the Republicans are even worse about doing what their platform says they do, than the Dems are. Responsibility doesn't seem to be in the vocabulary, fiscally or otherwise. Zing! =)p :Den -- All of our reasoning ends in surrender to feeling.
