No, the majority of people did not want or support progressive priorities.
That's why the Democrats just got the snot knocked out of them in the
elections. People want solutions to the pressing problems that they face -
unemployment being number one. Health care was not near the top of the list
of voter priorities in 2008. Progressives just deluded themselves into
thinking that the anti-Bush vote in 2008 was really a pro-progressive vote.
