I agree about checking options.  I had the same fears about loss of
Internet when I moved to the hills of North Georgia years back.  Turns
out the ISP there was the local telco and I had the best Internet
service ever.  Much better than a few years ago when I was living in
the heart of Silicon Valley and the service had more down time than a
20 dollar pros.
