My parents just lost one of their springer spaniels...he was an old guy.
They had adopted him and his brother about 6 or 7 years ago (they were
already adults). It's never easy. I lost a cat that I had several years
before I married my first wife...she was one of my kids :-( I still get
teary eyed when I see cats that look like her. May she go swiftly and
quietly...

Subject: Dog moves on

Well, our German Sheppard, Dog, will be moving on in about an hour.

She's a wonderful dog. Been very sweet and helped a lot in dealing with
Jack's passing, and keeping our other dog company.

She was an athlete in her youth, but her body is now giving out on her.

So I got her ripped last night, gave her a nice doggy massage, and slept
with her for a while. Now it's time.

She'll be missed.
