I so know what you mean.

When my wife and I were coming up with names for our daughter, it
couldn't be the name of someone I'd dated, and it definately couldn't
be the name of anyone I knew who was fat or ugly =)

I think women are actually MORE rational about baby names than men.
Or maybe it's just me.

I would've had FAR less trouble picking a boy name.

Speaking of strong and masculine, when my sister-in-law was taking
suggestings for their boy - last name Arkenberg - they were looking
for names that were "strong and masculine"

I suggested "Sven" and "Darth".

Both were rejected.  I can't imagine why.
