It made sense for people to sit at desks in offices in the 19th century when
such work was done on paper and had to be shared in person. today, knowledge
work is done almost exclusively electronically, shared electronically. why
are we still going to offices everyday? Our 21st century work is being
shoe-horned into 19th century office structure.
