Nah, you're only going to get flooding within a few miles of the
coastline, and that will usually be due to storm surge from a
hurricane which you can see coming several days out.  Occasionally an
area will get particularly heavy rains and the sewers can't keep up to
drain it out, but that's not specific to Florida.  And if you do live
within a few miles of the coast, just make sure you have flood
insurance because it isn't generally covered by homeowner's insurance.
 Pretty rare that it's needed though.
