I missed this whole subject... Just skimming through it though wow... 

I can't see why a solar flare would even be considered as a "cause" for an
earthquake. BUT I did see some "Speculation" that a possible "Super Moon"
may have had aided in the tectonic shift but certainly not the only
reason... Think of it as the final straw. The Plates were about to give and
the slight little increase in tug was just enough, but without the super
moon it may have happened next week or a few hours later. 

BAH!

The Super Moon is this weekend... Closest in 18years but even so you
wouldn't be able to notice it without some pretty good measuring tools. I
don't think it will even effect the tide any differently.

Oh I'm sorry... back to the Sol or if it's causing problems maybe its
Solaris..
