UN Secretary-General Ban was mobbed by protesters in Cairo today who were chanting "Down, down with the U.S. and Italy." While police were able to get him away, I wonder if he stopped to tell the crowd that the coalition was much more than the US and Italy. There's at least one Frenchman as well.
Russian Prime Minister Putin says the countries lined up against Libya reminds him of "a crusade" and is using the whole thing as a excuse to enhance Russia's defenses to "prevent a similar invasion of his country". So now we know why he didn't veto the resolution against Libya. He's using it as an excuse. Shmart guy, that Putin. President Obama seems to be in some hot water with members of his party as well as his opposition. Seems some politicians are pissed that Obama decided to throw America's military muscle against Libya without any meeting with Congress. "They consulted the Arab League. They consulted the United Nations. They did not consult the United States Congress." Of course, Obama isn't the first to do something like this. The last was when Clinton committed US troops to Kosovo. Be that as it may, I doubt this will have any effect other than alienating Obama's anti-war supporters. No impeachment or anything - No blue dress. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:335407 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
