Gas prices are high because the US dollar is worthless.

Nothing to do with speculators, US drilling, supply, Libya, green energy,
tax breaks, etc...

Seems to be a quite well done study looking at various levels of offshore
drilling and various levels of required fuel efficiency in the US fleet and
comparing who they would likely effect future gas prices in the US.
