Thank you. I always enjoy the 4th of July.
Spending all my free time (time not boating or grilling or sitting or tinkering with the yard work) doing family history research. Found so far 13 ancestors who fought in our Revolution, 3 on the "other" side. And one who fought for the Revolution, but was arrested and jailed in 1787 for speaking "words supporting the King". Including, of course, Zebulon Pike (father of the more famous explorer Zebulon Pike), who was a Cornet at Valley Forge among other places, and ended a Captain when he returned to civilian life in 1783. The history is fascinating for me. But, in order to fully celebrate being an American(tm), I will now head to Home Depot and Walmart, buy stuff I don't need, and then return home and grill a large chunk of an animal and lots of fresh vegetables.
