Put these specialty items aside. My dad told me about the tour he took of
the collection center my uncle was driving for over the weekend. Everything
you throw in your trashbin is sorted and re-sorted, and re-sorted then
crunched up and sold. Everything you throw out gets re-sold at least once
out of the collection center.

Also on this tip, for some reason I received 3, count them 3 phone books
during a rain storm last week, and while they were in the plastic bags all 3
were wrecked; only to find 1 more delivered the next day. Way to go Verizon!
