And with the costs of running for office, who are candidates supposed to get
their money for Campaigns from?

I think there needs to be special concessions,Fixed hours of guaranteed
time, and spending caps for every candidate to level the playing field.

Otherwise we will never get corporate influence out of politics. This
happens in every democracy right now I think, not just the US. But all to
varying degrees.

It was cited as a primary reason for the election results in Canada. One
party outspent the other by a phenomenal margin. Now that party is in power
and must , of course, pay back the corporations by setting policy that
favors them, and not the people.
