Chrome updates just as often, if not more so, than Firefox.  Google
just does it automatically in the background and doesn't bother you
with having to install a new version every couple of months.  I can
see Chrome and Firefox both abandoning version numbers entirely and
acting more like web applications in the update sense.  They will
release updates and the software will pull them in automatically and
everyone will just have the "latest stable build" all the time without
regard to "versions" in the traditional sense.  IE, of course, will
continue to have versions and be more closely tied to Windows to keep
enterprise customers happy.  I could be wrong. :)
