I was very hot on it when it was announced. But so far, I am turned off by the battery life.
I use a Kindle, and love the fact that I charge it like once every other week. I use an ipad, and like that I charge it at night, but can go a few days without charging. >From what a read about the Fire, battery like is about a third of the iPad, in practical terms.
