Wednesday night I found my partner and the love of my life Dan dead on the floor of the sun room. He came back from his bike ride and was hanging his workout clothes from hook in the porch ceiling when he fell and hit his neck on the corner of the air hockey table. It appears he died instantly of a broken neck. I am, to be blunt, devastated. Heartbroken beyond words. We had a Christmas trip planned back east to visit family so I am going ahead with the trip. I am not sure when I will be back home or back in a mental state to communicate online. On the other hand, I may mind I need my lists and groups to help me cope. Either way, if my absence is noticed, that is why. The last time I saw Dan, he kissed me on the forehead and told me he loved me. Tell those you love every day so if something like this happens to you, they will have that memory.
