no several years of republican filibustering in the senate. Before you
state that the the Democratic party had the majority during this time
they never had a supermajority. With the current rules it requires
over 60 votes to pass a bill. The Democrats since 2008 had at the most
58 seats. Moreover McConnell did state that he'd do everything he
could to make Obama a one term president. So they've been thoroughly
obstructionist since.

So I lay the blame right where it belongs, the Republican party.
