I hope not. For the last four years, I've been working on a documentary about children who are murdered while in foster care.
Based on what I've seen, there is not a single state agency anywhere that is capable of removing children from their parents and actually providing decent care for them. The foster care system for the most part is a cesspool of corruption and neglect. Do some children need to be removed for reasons of safety? Absolutely. But the current system is not the way to do it, and adding children to that system simply because of obesity or any other health related issue is just worsening the nightmare.
