Or 90/94 going through Gary, IN at any time of the year. I don't think I have ever been on that roadway, regardless of time of day, where it it's jam packed. That is the major thoroughfare from Chicago, through IN into MI and OH...I generally end up going almost an hour to the south and go along 30. Even with the hour detour, it is still faster than 90/94...and almost no traffic. My parents have a cottage on a lake in SW MI. I can remember doing that in an old truck that had a manual clutch...my leg felt like to was going to fall off by the time I got to the cottage. 90/94 sucks.
