If there is an order that says his not allowed to possess a gun, that should
come up in a background check.  That is why they should also have to do
background checks...or at least sell the firearm through a licensed dealer.

Yeah, but is a private seller required to vet the purchaser through the
court, because even if the seller had asked the purchaser if he was legally
able to purchase, the guy would probably have lied.
