Yes its all a liberal plot.

In the 70's about 60% or so of all scientist who were members of the
AAAS were republican. According to the most recent surveys only about
6% are republican. When asked why, the vast majority cited Republican
policies on science.

Ever think that its not an automatic liberal thing, but something to
do with the policies espoused by the party? Such as Evolution or
anthrogenic climate change. When you and your profession are
denegrated and held in contempt, you expect support from that group?
