You know what?

If we added a class/license requirement that was free and didn't require
registration or records, and removed ALL firearms restrictions, to include
machine guns and destructive devices; I could support such a change.  I
think that ALL citizens are the militia and that requiring training makes
sense, you could even do it at school, as was once the case here.

Required drilling and training just makes sense, and can be done in a manner
that wouldn't restrict legal access to firearms.
