Sam,

I have type 1 diabetes. Before I was able to get that very expensive
insurance I talked with 5 other companies. My wife talked with a few
more. Most outright refused us as soon as they heard about diabetes.
I've heard similar for people with asthma. Insurance for us ended up
being much more expensive, 900 for one person vs $400 for a person and
child.
