They are saying the death toll is at 57 and they expect at least another 40 to be added to that...mostly children. I have a close friend that lives in Moore...luckily her and her family are safe. Very heartbreaking. Many brave and heroic teachers that saved children's lives there. The news was reporting on one, where they had to remove a car from the hallway of one of the schools. Underneath was a teacher with 3 kids underneath her. Those kids survived as a result of her heroism. No word on the condition of the teacher...
My heart goes out to all in the area. Imagine dropping your child off at school in the morning, then being told to go to a church in the afternoon to await word of whether your child survived his/her day at school.
