I'm particularly interested in water shortages around different parts of the country and how they may be resolved. The west in particular - dry places like Las Vegas and Phoenix that get their water from the Colorado. I've been reading up a little on that whole water system lately and how close the entire southwest is to totally running out of water in the next 30 years or so. They already take 100% of the colorado (it no longer reaches the ocean) and Lake Mead (which supplies most of the water for the southwest) is alarmingly low and getting lower. There have also been some really ambitious plans for resolving this over the years and these may come back up again to try to help relieve the problem. Some of them include: Diverting water from Alaska down into the Colorado system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Water_and_Power_Alliance Diverting water from the Hudson Bay in Canada: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Recycling_and_Northern_Development_Canal -Cameron ... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:366241 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
