I'd like to see a study of the happiness levels of those who watch Cable
news versus those who don't, with a breakout by channel. I suspect those
who listen to the fear-mongers are most unhappy.

As for unemployment, every single unemployed person I know personally sits
around and whines all day about how bad things are, but never takes any
proactive steps to remedy their situation. I just asked one of them a few
minutes ago if today was a "sit on the couch doing nothing but bitching
day, or a get up off her ass and find a job day". I have no pity for them,
and no mercy.
