I'm damn happy. My friends are pretty happy, by an large as well. That is something I look for in friends, so that isn't surprising. Not all of them are happy with their jobs, but they are happy they have one.
You definitely make your own happiness. Just saying that "having a job" doesn't automatically correlate with being happy.
