The religious view of marriage, for most Christian religion anyway, is that
marriage is a representation of the pure and unconditional love from God,
exhibited by man here on earth. They see it as a gift from God, and in it's
existence, a celebration of Him and his love.

So.....these comments aren't really all that out of line with that belief.
Feel free to find that silly, I certainly do, but I don't see any point in
mocking someone who holds those beliefs.
