Not so sure about that. In the most resent set of electoral contests the teahadis lost across the board. In Virginia for instance it looks like a clean sweep of the statewide office with even the teaparty supported republican candidate losing. Similarly that race in Alabama that pitted a tea party darling against a somewhat conservative opponent. The teahadi lost the primary.
On top of that the republican senate caucus has banned several tea party PACs. So the teahadis may be on the way out. At least it may be the beginning of the beginning of their end.
