The guy gets into an accident and is taken to the hospital. The woman can give permission for medical procedures, get family visiting rights etc. Now lets take the exact same situation but with a gay couple. The SO cannot give permission and is not considered family. What's the difference between these two couples, except for one being gay and the other not? That is not special rights, its equal rights. larry -- Larry C.
