In Winnipeg Canada every summer there's a 2 week long party called
Folklorama that celebrates the cultural and ethnic diversity of the city.
Any ethnic or cultural group can set up a pavilion and throw a party. Aside
from the usual sorts, Australian, American, British, Scottish etc cultural
groups have been represented. So its possible to have such a celebration of
WASP types without the rancor that I've seen down here.
