I would submit that you sent the original email after subscribing to an
email list.  Having done that, you are subscribed and will continue to
receive emails until such time that you unsubscrive yourself for the list.

At the bottom of this email are the directions for removing yourself from
this list.

If you are unaware of the email that was sent to the list from your email
address in the first place then you might want to take a look at the
