Jon,

The technology may exist. As I mentioned previously Dr. Alan Pope at NASA
Langly near Norfolk, Virginia has worked on similar systems, although they
were not "wireless." Given that I've been out of the field for several
years, I would not be very surprised if development has progressed to the
point where such a system that NASA proposes is feasible. The problem
remains of false readings however.
