Okay, I must've missed the "Dinosaurs will die out on their own" ending in 
Jurassic Park (the book). Where did you see that? The message I got at the 
end was that the dinosaurs have gotten out, and would multiply and take 
over the earth, and that man was tremendously arrogant in thinking he could 
pull the genie out of the bottle (so to speak) and control it. We are just 
not in control.

As for the movie, I thought it was terribly done, except for the special 
effects (which were cool.) But Special FX do not, in my humble opinion, 
make a good story.
