I believe they're available at the Compleat Strat or most stores where they sell games. Certainly Carcassone is readily available (the newest version, the one we got, has river pieces as well as regular fields, etc., adding to the complexity.) Michael can tell you more as he's the one that bought them.
The Katan games are put out by Mayfair Games, and are also, I believe, available at gaming stores (if not, you might want to check E-bay). We'll be bringing some to the Suite, so if you're coming, we can run a game one day. If you do want to get into the Katan games, I would suggest starting with Settlers, which is the most basic (settlements only, resources with no commodities yet, no ships) and going to Cities and Knights and Seafarers once you've done Settlers for a while. Start with a group of 3 or 4 people who like strategy games and you'll have a great time. (Be warned, these games can become an expensive habit.)
