Yeah, but any excuse to trash talk is fun... -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Graeme [mailto:kgraeme@;facstaff.wisc.edu] Sent: Wednesday, October 23, 2002 9:40 AM To: CF-Community Subject: RE: the game for me
It's funny. As soon as someone mentions something like the Amiga it gets into a pissing match as to what was the oldest, crappiest machine people worked with. I know I kinda started it, but it's just a funny behavioral observation. Yes, I used a trash80. I used a TI-99. Heck, a friend and I did BBSing with a TI-99. I used a TRS-somethingorother that was a prototypical laptop. It had a built-in screen, keyboard and all and came with a leatherette slip case. I never used punch cards, but I did have an account on a Cray X-MP. I was an Atari 2600 junky and spent $50 on Pac-Man the day it came out. I wrote games on the Apple I. I played with the Atari Jaguar. I drooled over the Apple Lisa. For all that, I most want to use the computer I'm using right now. Or maybe the one I'll be building next week. -Kevin Graeme > -----Original Message----- > From: Philip Arnold - ASP [mailto:pra@;aspmedia.co.uk] > Sent: Wednesday, October 23, 2002 6:03 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: the game for me > > > > Amoebas were for wusses, long live the Atari ST ! > > ;-P > > Pah, you're using late machines > > Long live the TRS-80... > > I used to use a Commadore Pet with the flat keyboard, the external > tape deck and green screen > > Now THAT is technology at it's best <g> > > Philip Arnold > Technical Director > Certified ColdFusion Developer > ASP Multimedia Limited > Switchboard: +44 (0)20 8680 8099 > Fax: +44 (0)20 8686 7911 > > www.aspmedia.co.uk > www.aspevents.net > > An ISO9001 registered company. > > ********************************************************************** > This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and > intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they > are addressed.
