well put it this way. In the UK, 3 ounces would get you prosecuted for
dealing, not possession.

Well, it doesn't look like it matters much. The Nevada proposition (the one
I quoted below) was voted down by 61%... they also voted to ban same-sex
marriages by a 67% margin.

Arizona's motion to allow marijuana for medicinal uses also got shot down by
57%. I'm guessing that's more because of additional verbiage on the
proposition than anything else. Here's the wording for the Arizona
proposition:

"Creates medical marijuana registry card system authorizing medical use of
marijuana for people diagnosed with a debilitating medical condition;
increases drug offender maximum sentences for violent crimes committed while
on drugs by 50%; punishes personal possession of marijuana with a civil
fine; requires a drug related conviction before forfeiture of property
seized incident to possession or use of drugs; establishes state
administered system for distribution of marijuana to qualifying medical
patients; requires supervised release of non-violent offenders convicted of
simple possession or use of controlled substances, unless such release poses
a public danger."

BTW, I've no idea how much 3 ounces of pot would be. I'm assuming it's a
lot?
